If you’ve had anything to do with SMART Recovery Australia at any point in our history, odds are you’ve met, spoken to, heard from or heard mention of Josette Freeman. Josette was – and still is – a real pioneering force of SMART Recovery Australia. She started the first ever SMART Recovery meeting here in Sydney back in the dawn of the new millennium (meanwhile, I was still picking my nose and playing hide and seek in primary school), and spearheaded SMART’s development into the nationwide organisation it is today.
To celebrate Josette’s tenth anniversary as an official employee of SMART Recovery Australia, we got in touch with some of the people she’s impacted through her valuable work and put together this video.
