Recently, we have all experienced the challenges of being stuck at home. This exciting new online project will allow SMART participants to continue to engage with SMART from the comfort of their own office, home, or garden shed (as long as it has internet connection).
SMART Recovery Australia is looking to hire an SMART Program Coordinator (Online) to support the on-going development and running of the online SMART Recovery program.
The successful applicant will work alongside the National Program Manager (Online lead), the overall SMART team, and other stakeholders. Additionally, some organisational networking and relationship development will be involved.
We are looking for a professional, flexible, fun and engaging coordinator who can adapt and think on their feet. The role will be autonomous but will have ongoing support and supervision to achieve the best outcomes.
Specifics:
- 37.5 hours per week (exclusive of meal breaks)
- Business hours between 8:00 am – 6:00 pm (SRAU has flexible ethos – outside of these hours to be negotiated)
- Remuneration based on knowledge and experience – up to $80.000 per annum

- Probation period
- Time-in-Lieu to be negotiated.

The role of the SMART Program Coordinator will support the on-going development and running of the online SMART Recovery program and will involve working alongside the National Program Manager (Online lead). The role will be very autonomous but will have ongoing support and supervision to achieve the best outcomes. The role will be full time at 37.5 hours per week, has flexible hours and is a 12-month project due to grant funding.
- Reporting to the Executive Director; with workflow managed and supervisory support from the National Program Manager (Online Lead)
- Key internal relationships National Program Managers, Head of Digital and Brand, Business Development Manager, Marketing / Sales Coordinator and Operational Support and Accounts Coordinator.
- Other key internal relationships will include Board members, Research Advisory Committee, Ambassadors, other committees, volunteers and pro bono support.
- Key external relationships include facilitators, participants, suppliers and partner organisations.

- The project is for 1 year (contract maybe extended depending on funding and performance)

Main responsibilities
- Support National Program Manager (Online Lead) to develop, grow and oversee the SMART Recovery Online Program (online meetings and online training)
- Assist the development, growth and maintain relationships regarding online program (Business2business)
- Provide supervisory support for SMART Recovery Australia’s online facilitators
- Support the National Program Manager (Online Lead) in the running of online facilitator training
- Assist the development of support structures to maintain running of program
- Administration of online systems (Salesforce
- Administration, and other duties, as directed by the ED or National Program Manager (Online Lead)

Additional Information

Competency Profile
The skills/competencies required to fulfil this role are set out below:
Essential criteria:
- Experience in coordinating programs and staff
- Experience in using online platforms and technology
- Experience in helping roles such as Counselling, Case Management or similar discipline
- Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy principles
- Experienced in office administrative duties
- Express excellent customer service skills
- Confidence in work independently, and as part of a small team.
Desirable Criteria
- Hold an appropriate tertiary qualification
- Track record in project management (including event management)
- Have worked in a marketing environment; including digital, sales
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management System and event management systems, (Salesforce, Arlo)
- Have awareness of the alcohol and other drugs, addictions and mental health fields
- Experience in paid or voluntary work for a Not-for-Profit organisation.
