King Cross Injecting Centre celebrates 20 years of service

Sydney’s Medically Supervised Injection Centre (MSIC) is celebrating 20 years – that’s more than 1.2 million injections supervised without one death.

It was the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere and faced fierce criticism when it opened but the centre’s Medical Director says it was the last “brave” thing the government did for drug reform.
