Josette Freeman Lifetime Achievement Award
Honouring the lifetime commitment to recovery of Josette Freeman, who helped establish the pilot of SMART Recovery at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney in 1994. For SMART facilitators with 7+ years experience of working in recovery who have demonstrated a significant and transformative impact through their practice.

For researchers with a demonstrated contribution to and/or current engagement in Alcohol and Other Drugs-related research directly evaluating SMART Recovery Australia.
First Nations Facilitator Award
Recognising the outstanding contributions of an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander facilitator running any SMART Recovery program.
Youth Facilitator Award
Recognising the outstanding contributions of a facilitator running one or more SMART Recovery Youth programs.
Lived Experience Facilitator Award
Recognising the outstanding contributions of a facilitator with lived recovery experience running any SMART Recovery program.
Justice Facilitator Award
Recognising the outstanding contributions of a facilitator running one or more SMART Inside Out programs.
LGBTQIA+ Facilitator Award
Recognising the outstanding contributions of a facilitator running one or more SMART Recovery LGBTQIA+ programs.
Family and Friends Award
Recognising the outstanding contributions of a facilitator running one or more SMART Recovery Family and Friends programs.
Global Facilitator Award
Recognising the outstanding contributions of a facilitator delivering SMART Recovery programs outside of Australia.
Member of the Year Award
Recognising the outstanding contributions of a SMART Recovery Essential, Flourish or Thrive member organisation.
