How can I report an issue with a meeting?

If you’ve had a problem with a SMART meeting, we’re here to help. Below are the quickest ways to resolve issues and make sure your feedback reaches the right people.

First, speak with the facilitator if you can

Most issues can be resolved directly and quickly in the group. If you feel comfortable, have a brief chat with the facilitator before or after the meeting and let them know what happened. Facilitators welcome constructive feedback and want meetings to be safe, respectful and helpful for everyone.

Use the Feedback option on the meeting page

Every meeting listed on our website includes a built-in feedback option that sends your comments directly to the SMART team.

Steps:

  1. Go to the meeting’s page on the SMART Recovery Australia website.

  2. Locate the Feedback button (usually at the top of the page) and click on it.

      3.   Fill out the form with your full name, email address, and message.

       4.   Submit your feedback.

What to include in your feedback:

  • The date and time you attended the meeting.
  • A clear description of what happened and who was involved, if relevant.
  • Any steps you have already taken (for example, if you spoke with the facilitator).
